A glowing feeling of happiness that blended perfectly with the persistent feeling of glum. Many of us may not have said a word. But, the overwhelming feeling of joy and the underlying feeling of sadness was unmistakable in every eye.
Rewind to two years ago. Then, we all came to IIITB, not knowing what to expect, not knowing where these two years would take us. Now, as we leave IIITB, we still don't know what life holds for us. But, we do know that in tumultuous times of the future we can fall back on the experiences of the past two years, that in times of distress we can rely on the relationships we built in these two years.
Whatever we may have felt during our stay here, now we know what IIITB really meant to us; for it is said that the purest feelings are those that are felt at the time of a farewell. It is indeed a sad thought that we may never again sit in the classrooms of IIITB, that we may never again walk in the hallway, that we never ever again meet some of our friends. We will never again experience the life that IIITB gave us.
We bid farewell to IIITB, we bid farewell to each other. But, even in parting we don't part. Memories will keep us together, they will not know an adieu, for a special bond will always bind us.
Someday in the future, when we do revisit these days, they will shine out as some of the best days of our life - days, special and unforgettable. And, to think that I almost never joined IIITB. Today, I am so glad I did. And, we will forever remember those people who guided us through these days, people who opened the door to many a path - paths of knowledge and of wisdom, people who will silently continue to guide us throughout our lives.
Perhaps, this day signifies the end of an era in our lives. We stand at the edge of a new life, at the edge of new beginnings. May each one of us live the life of our dreams.
Two years ago we all came to IIITB hoping to learn. Then, we were in pursuit of knowledge. Now, we are still in pursuit of knowledge. But now, we are richer - richer in experience, richer in friends, richer in memories - richer for life.
Hope we meet again someday, near or far away.
Adieu...

Adieu...
The last year or so in IIITB has been really enjoyable, hectic, fun, tiring and really great! Yes, it has been a sort of a roller coaster ride...but then life itself is.
I remember the very first class. Dinesha Sir told us that we have to work 24 hours a day! I was shocked. Then, he told us that that maybe we can work 20 hours a day - great concession!
It is another matter that Sadagopan Sir thinks we can work 25 hours a day - or more!
The heaps of quizzes and tests in the first semester were really fun - though it did become too much at times. For me, Mahabala Sir's classes were the most enjoyable! But not his exams - who wants to write a whole SRS in an exam! He has a unique way of talking. There was one class of his in which we had so much fun. I hope they had recorded that class...it would have been a perfect addition to anybody's collection.
Prasanna Sir's classes always went over the head...too high funda.
Open house was definitely very good and fun...
The tons of placement meetings in third semester were .. well, how willl I know - I attended just one...! Anyway the placements have gone very well and thats what is important.
We all came to IIITB to learn and I am sure we have learnt a great deal and have had lots of fun along the way. What else can anyone hope for...
Most importantly we made new friends... and thats what life is all about (As Dinesha Sir said..."Network")! Just to name a few of my friends - Rohit, Manjunath Prasad, Kumar, Siddharth God, Siddharth Pandey, Suyash, Vivek, Manjunath Sindagi ... many more ...and also my old friend Ritesh Swamy...
We also hoped to create memories...And I am sure everyone will go back with happy memories...
But, it is'nt really [officially] over yet...till our internship is done...

20/11: IIITB - Open House
This open house was bigger in terms of projects - with more projects on display than the previous one, but smaller in terms of visitors. And it extended to Monday!! I was part of two, no - three, projects on display - IChess, GIS - Lite-Route and SCM-auctions. Quite tired of explaining the same things over and over and over and over again. But, I must say that Rohit gave most of the presentations. Anyway, everybody did a great job. Hope the open house will bring in some industry interest and participation into the projects.
Lets hope for many more Innovative projects from IIITB.
